Once a part of the firm, you have the liberty to choose your career path. I switched my role from BA to DE. Amazon not only speaks of leadership principles but applies them daily, and that helps you excel.
Each team/business in Amazon is a company (start-up) in itself. It is fast-paced and always growing. There are days where you need to figure out your own tasks. There is no direction, and you do not get responses on time. To get one answer related to a specific business, you need to juggle a lot across different resources (if you are lucky, your first guess would lead you to the answer).
