Mixed Feelings: Layoffs Hurt
Overall, my experience with Amazon has been satisfactory. The work environment is generally positive, with supportive colleagues and a focus on collaboration. However, there are areas for improvement, such as clearer communication from leadership and more structured professional development opportunities. Compensation is competitive, but there's room for enhancement in employee benefits. Overall, a decent workplace with potential for growth if you're starting your career.
Recent layoffs have made the environment toxic.
There have been no onsite opportunities for the last year.
The company is currently experiencing a hiring freeze, which is leading to the departure of talented engineers. I'm concerned about the potential decline in the company's performance.
