Good pay, often working on cutting-edge tech, and when the economy was good, there was good mobility between teams.
"Day one" mentality leads to tech debt and lots of abandoned, half-complete projects. The recent layoffs were executed terribly. Many critical teams are hopelessly understaffed.
Focus on what once made Amazon great and stop crippling teams for short-term goals.
