The benefits are great, but there's no difference if you're an L1 or an L5 besides stock. There are a lot of upskilling programs and free college.
It seems that only veterans get past L3, even with degrees and years with the company. I've been in three different L3 roles already and am a grad student. They also seem to favor attractive women who don't seem to even know how to perform their jobs.
I'd like to see more people who deserve to be managers, rather than because they were in the same branch of the military or have a nice personality.
The overall process was very confusing. They did not look further into skills if you didn’t do your absolute best on the technical interview. There was also not enough time given for the tech interview.
The interview experience was challenging, and I didn’t perform as well as I hoped. I struggled to communicate my thought process clearly under pressure, and a few data-structure and algorithm questions caught me off guard. I also rushed through parts
Applied, waited a while, got OA, two-question LC med, final round behavioral + LC easy. Waitlisted then got off the waitlist. Pretty chill process, maybe somewhat RNG with interviewer. Chill process overall.
