Supportive environment that puts onus on People Leaders rather than employees. Very high job ceiling. You could spend your entire career here. All engineers have a high level of technical skill. Good for peers and not too many being carried by others.
High bar. This will keep you on your toes. Sometimes communication is siloed. For such a large company, I'm surprised it's not worse. People who have spent time in Ops appear to have a considerable amount of trauma. But the best are really outstanding.
Transparency. I appreciated the communication during job losses at Amazon. Although they did not mention specifics, they were honest about intentions. I've worked for organizations that lay off by stealth. Amazon does not do that.
