I've worked for 3 months, and it's looking pretty good so far

Pros
  • Strong culture to keep the business focused on customer satisfaction. Start-up culture of doing things quick and right. Processes are kept simple.

  • Strong emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion. I keep receiving emails about new webinars or training on this topic. Affinity groups are also in place for employees to be able to discuss things outside of direct teammates or line managers.

  • Competitive compensation, although the stock bonus they emphasize starts slowly, only after a full 2 years, and you get the total bonus only at the end of the 4th year.

  • I had this image that Amazon would make people work like hell, but I found they ramped up my workload slowly. There is a ton of online training to go through the first 3 months.

Cons

Almost never met my colleagues; everything is done online. For a new starter, it's not easy to feel included in the team. Hopefully, we get to go back to meeting more often at the office. I am not a big fan of five days WFH.
