Pros

Salary, shares, experience working with (mostly) great minds, learning leadership principles (helps personally as well), and career switch (depends on the manager).

Challenges on a daily/weekly basis push you to the next level.

Cons

Frugality (few managers take this too seriously; they are ready to even starve employees who have to support midnight or noon launches).

No perks in any sense, literally.

  • No lunch, no snacks (oh yeah, a banana only at the Seattle campus).

As extras for being an Amazon employee, you would get 2% off Apple products (yes, that's 2%, like $20 for an iPhone of $1200) and for other brands too, but it depends on what you buy.

Employee promo code which gives 10% off your Amazon purchases for only retail orders (literally had tears in my eyes when I saw $2 off in the entire year of purchases).
