Internal politics affect interviews and promotions. People who know how to talk get more benefits. Confusing leadership principles. Some dumb people are promoted while talented people are waiting; it all depends on the team and manager.
Don't evaluate only based on Leadership principles. Avoid politics in interviews and promotions.
