Manager is everything. You will not get a chance to switch teams transparently.
Some teams' work will be too boring, and they will make your life miserable.
Do not trust some managers; they can be your worst enemy for your career at Amazon.
I would not suggest ruining your career by joining Amazon. If you do, research project areas of working and find a team that is suitable for you as well.
Do not go for money alone. There are many good startups that can pay reasonably and will give you ample opportunity to grow in your career, both professionally and financially.
Keep your manager as god of your company. They can ruin a developer's life and career within your company.
