Better than I expected
The team was super supportive. I was assigned two mentors and an onboarding buddy, both of whom provided great help to onboard me to the team, answer any debugging questions, and help guide the direction of my project. Other members of the team were also helpful in answering questions.
Work-life balance was pretty chill. There were no expectations to come to the office early, and my manager and mentor were actually telling me not to work past 5. I did have to work some nights and weekends towards the latter half of the internship when I had to get some results for my project.
The office didn't have many perks. It only offered free coffee and free bananas.
