AWS has been an amazing place to try new things and grow skills. In 5 years, I have held 3 different roles and 2 countries, all my choice. Each has helped me grow to a new level in my career. In the last 5 years, I have done and learned more than in the 10 years before that. Working with the very best in the business pays off.
The health care and benefits packages, and total compensation model are simply unbeatable in the technology industry.
High-density seating kind of sucks. Intermittently, we end up sitting on top of each other. It's not the end of the world, since AWS is very open to working from home frequently.
Keep focused on customers. Don't get distracted from Amazon's core values; it's served us well for 20 years.

First round: Hiring manager screening. This covers leadership principles important for the job. Final round: Five interviews with a writing assessment. Each round covers around three leadership principles. All interviews are behavioral.
Initial phone call with a recruiter, followed by a 90-minute coding assignment. This consisted of standard LeetCode-style algorithm and data structures problems, loosely related to the specific role and easy to prepare for by using normal resources.
