Pros

There is a complete SW industry inside Amazon. You can find to work on any SW subject you like. It is very easy to switch teams. Good pay, especially when its stock performs. Work with smart and motivated people.

Cons

No extra perks of any kind other than a max $100/year discount for shopping at Amazon.com.

There are teams with bad work/life balance, but there are plenty of good/reasonable ones.

A "forced curve" fitting of x% of people as LE (least effective) and y% URA (unregretted attrition rate) is a counterproductive policy that should be abandoned.

High attrition rates, internally, externally, and URAs.

Advice to Management

Forced curve fitting of x% of people as LE (least effective) and y% URA (un-regretted attrition rate) is a counterproductive policy that should be abandoned. These should be natural decisions made rather than meeting a % goal.
