Pros

It is still a company that is at the cutting edge of many technologies, and you will work with some of the best engineers and team members. Its leadership principles truly guide the daily decision-making and are part of the DNA of the company.

Cons

Mass layoffs and continued cost-cutting create resource crunches across teams and affect the morale of the teams. Amazon used to have thousands of open roles for all kinds of jobs, and now you can count on your fingers the number of open roles in some job families. Many people compete for the few opportunities to get a chance to work on something different.

Advice to Management

Cost cutting is important.

Finding ways to get back to high growth is more important.
