Excellent training, and my corner of AWS understands work-life balance. I've only been here for a couple of months, but it's going well.
Normally at a big company, you've run into all kinds of red flags by now. Amazon actually believes in and follows its Leadership Principles, and they apply to everyone. This seems like a great way to run a company.
I'm still not convinced "Strive to be Earth’s Best Employer" is being applied to the warehouse side of the business.
Joining a big company of this age exposes you to a fire hose of information; it's a lot to take in!
Even if Amazon treats its warehouse employees better than everyone else, we have a perception issue due to our scale.
Compensation is great, benefits (in Canada) are "meh"—basically what every other company offers in tech. At our scale, we should do better.
Every employee should get a free Prime membership.
It was a 4-round process: * 2 LeetCode * 1 System Design * 1 Behavioral It was 2 weeks long, with results in a week. I got an offer within 2 weeks and will be flying in 2 months.
The onsite interview comprised of 4 rounds, all conducted on the same day, which made it tough. It included: * 3 coding sessions * 1 system design session Each round also included behavioral questions.
The process consisted of multiple rounds. It was a very good learning experience, and I got to know the hiring manager and the team I will be working with. They were all very friendly. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it through.
