Pros

Work with talented people and on challenging problems.

Cons

Amazon obsesses about RT05 more than anything else, and there is no empathy or flexibility, even for people who need WFH flexibility due to health reasons.

Every time there is a firing cycle, it's a bit scary.

Promotion from SDE1 to SDE2 is easy. Beyond that, it's really hard.

On-call can be really stressful and impacts work-life balance, depending on the team that you're in.
