Great people, but too much work
People are extremely talented, helpful, and there are a lot of growth opportunities if you are willing to give it your all.
Software teams are understaffed, and there is too much work. Once you are L6, you have no work-life balance. L4 and L5 depend on the team. For good teams, L4 might be around 50 hours a week, and L5 might be 60 hours a week.
Don’t put unnecessary pressure on software teams to release buggy products and then tell them to attend to unhappy customers, which is a nightmare.
