- Payment (competitive but not the best, despite the manager's claims)
- Learning (work with good engineers and a variety of technologies)
- Company name on CV
- Poor work-life balance (despite managers saying they don't want you after hours, the workload says otherwise)
- No special benefits other than salary
- You're just a number; don't expect recognition
- Promotion is overly bureaucratic
- Too many being fired for not being "at the bar"
- Average tenure is about 2-3 years; people don't stay
- Managers have too much power, and engineers' voices in decisions aren't really heard
Look for people as a human being, not just a number for your results.
