There are no pros, except that it's easy to jump to other companies. Actually, Amazon should not be treated as an IT company.
Actually, most of your work as a software engineer involves sending emails rather than coding. Additionally, the person who sends and replies to emails quickly and professionally will get promoted. No one cares about what you have done.
It is really hard to change this, but it is still suitable for someone who is not a good software engineer but still wants to get promoted. Since the whole employee of the company are such persons.
