Before my internship, I didn't have very high expectations. A lot of people said on the internet that Amazon doesn't care much about its employees. But after my internship, I think Amazon is amazing. Everyone is super helpful here, and I learned a lot from them. The work time is flexible, and we can even work from home one day a week. Amazon organizes many activities for interns, such as movies or picnics. Also, Seattle is a great city (in summer) with lots of fun places to visit.
The salary is a little lower than Bay Area companies. But the Bay Area has higher tax, so the difference is not that much.
I think it would be better if Amazon provides housing for interns at different locations. Currently, nearly all interns live around the University of Washington. Thus, all buses from the university to Amazon are very, very crowded.
