Pros

Amazon.com does get software out the door, but the attitude is to push things out as fast as possible and then leave someone else to clear up the mess.

Cons

Management wants employees to badmouth each other. Really! Management gets together once a year to decide whether each group manager has to fire 10%, or whatever, of his workers. Some groups lose 60% of their staff a year.

Management is slow to act before problems. When problems arise, they only think about who they can blame.

Advice to Management

Treat employees better!

Jeff Bezos needs to get rid of the low-quality management that surrounds him.

The company has good software developers—mostly. The rotten management below Jeff needs to be cleaned out.
