Pros

Some of the engineers are really talented.

Cons

Company culture wants everyone to do everything and is very stressful. Forte is the stupidest thing ever. Peer feedback is a waste of time and never results in anything.

They claim to want to use your strengths, but all they did for me was tell me not to use them and focus on weaknesses.

The idea of growth at Amazon is taking an employee who likes their job and pushing them to focus more on the things they hate to try to justify a promotion instead of using their strengths. I now hate my job and am not productive.

For a data-driven company, management of people is the opposite of that. They constantly collect data from employees but never share any results. Nothing they do is justified.

Advice to Management

Get rid of connections. Get rid of the useless Forte reviews. Stop trying to push engineers to do project management. Provide useful feedback to employees. Actually be available for employees.
