Pros

The opportunity to be mentored by the best engineers in the world. Solving big, interesting problems at unbelievable scale.

Cons

Organizations can get hyper-focused on metrics, and it feels a little like you're in a fishbowl.

Working at a company as big as Amazon, you feel like a very small and insignificant piece of a very large entity.

It is very hard to get promoted.

Advice to Management

Realize people are humans and not robots. Don't be so hyper-focused on metrics that you forget about the people who work for you.
