It’s amazing to work with world-class engineers on problems that are challenging in technical scope and scale, and delivering these improvements always feels super rewarding.
I wish there was a bigger push from upper management to lower for experimenting with non-radically innovative stuff. It’s easier to do this in other organizations, but in retail, it’s very difficult to follow up on a crazy idea and make it a reality because of constant pushes from product.
Always allocate 15-20% of the engineering capacity to crazy projects which won’t necessarily make it to market. You’d be surprised at how smart the people we hire are.
I had one phone screen and 4 additional remote interviews for my 'loop'. They were all pretty much the same, with a technical question and behaviorals. 3 of the 5 interviewers were very nice and enjoyable to interview with, while 2 of them were unhel
First, there will be a programming test. Afterward, you will receive an email indicating if you have passed it. In that case, you will have an online interview where they will ask you about yourself and, subsequently, they will ask very technical qu
Many two-part interviews followed. The first part always featured questions about "tell me about a time" scenarios. The second part involved a coding exercise, ranging from LeetCode-like problems to system design challenges.
