Team clearly wasn't planning on an intern
- Pay is great.
- Had team lunches occasionally for free.
- Amazon has a few intern activities which are cool.
- Free Starbucks coffee in the office.
The team I was on clearly wasn't planning to have an intern. They made me design my whole project, which took half my internship, and I got very little support from my manager/mentor.
Then in the final review, they said I didn't code enough. Well, obviously, I only had half the time to code.
The interns on teams nearby started coding from day 1 and easily got return offers. Seems very team dependent.
Only take on interns that you have projects for!
