My project, given to me from my team, was not very interesting, and I was given little support on my work. Most other interns had a much different experience, but I felt quite alone when it came to figuring out how to complete tasks. My entire team had been with the company for less than a year, so no one really knew how to use some of the proprietary Amazon tools, which meant I spent much longer than needed learning the basics.

Ensure that interns are paired with experienced mentors that can provide support for learning Amazon's tools.
