Comparison: I worked in consultancies in London prior.

• Great total compensation package.
• Teams have a lot of freedom to self-organize and choose their practices: more/less pair programming, more/less meetings, more/less TDD, etc.
• All the engineers are pretty smart.
• Good coding practices.

• Diversity is lacking; there are no women in our or the nearest two teams (approximately 15 people).

• There is no salary transparency during interviews. Don't give them your current salary if you want a significant bump.

• On-call duties involve a team rota where you might be woken up at 2 am for incidents.

• The internal tools are old.

• The fast pace, combined with the above, means you might feel like an impostor in the beginning before you learn the tooling.
