2. Massive re-orgs are common. If such a thing happens and senior engineers and management change, and your senior engineers backing you switch, take it as an indication and switch as soon as possible.

3. Once new management takes over, the likelihood of throwing junior engineers under the bus increases. Here, Amazon policies prevent you from changing teams as well.

Amazon policies should be revised to allow engineers to switch teams at least once if they have not done so in the past, when their manager blocks their transfer.
