My time at Amazon has been delightful. I've never been in a situation that was more eye-opening and impactful to me. I learned about incredible and exciting new technologies, I honed in on my skills and created new ones, and I met some awesome Amazonians that I hope to stay in contact with long after my internship.
With the option to work from home for most employees, it was hard to meet coworkers and other interns or have much interaction at all, with few events put on. For this reason, living on my own in a totally different city felt rather lonesome over the course of my whole internship. There were so few people in the office to talk to.
I think it would be awesome to enable some scheduled off days (or half days) for employees dedicated to team bonding each month or quarter.
1. Online Assessment Interview Invite to schedule. 2. Hiring Manager Round 2/3 LPs and 2 LeetCode medium problems. 3. Interview with SDE II Half an hour with LPs, and the other half doing a coding question to write maintainable code. 4. Bar Rai
After passing the Online Assessment, you then move on to the Final Loop Interviews, which consist of, but not necessarily in specific order: * Behavioral Interview * Technical Coding Interview (Leetcode style) * Low Level Design interview (OOP)
It went well, with half an hour for leadership principles and the other half an hour for coding and system design. It’s a great experience overall. System design, they expect more clarity.
