- The pay is very competitive. I have heard that this is becoming less true recently.
- There are lots of internal resources to learn AWS and good engineering practice.
- It's great to write on your resume.
There is an expectation of near-constant uptime on all services. On-call rotations can be very demanding. It can definitely get political (team depending). Morale has been very low recently amid layoffs.
Why did you announce layoffs more than a month before they actually took place, and then didn't even give an actual date?
This has destroyed tons of teams' morale and is just wildly stressful to be around.
