You will almost definitely deliver production software if you program. If you deliver software, you will see it work in Prod. It looks really good on a resume. It gets you experience in Ops.
Not industry-standard software tools and stack. Work/life balance is skewed to work (see experience in Ops). Lots of security and upgrade treadmill.
