Pros

Salary, but still not that competitive.

Cons

No personal life whatsoever. No fixed working hours.

Have to connect late-night calls for US timezones 2-3 times a week. Lot of competition, work pressure, and office politics.

Have to stay on call for a week almost every month. This means you can have a ticket/issue even late at night, and you need to log in to fix it immediately. Have to carry your laptop around when you are on call.

Advice to Management

Make sure you don't have three to four meetings a day, especially late-night meetings. Otherwise, there is little to no time left for your employees to actually work. You don't own the employee, so do consider that they also have their own life and family before scheduling late meetings on top of an already immense load of tasks and on-call activities.
