Incredibly supportive team members that understand the needs of new engineers and do everything they can to support them by providing training materials, mentorship, and always making time to answer questions, whether they are technical or about the team's services. I have grown more than I thought possible as an engineer, and the culture encourages continuous learning. You will become much more knowledgeable in your current role and are encouraged to explore other teams and even transition to new roles to continue your learning.
Amazon moves very fast, and so you must learn to move at their pace.
This isn't really a con since they do provide support to help you transition and be successful in your role. However, it is still a jarring experience in the first few weeks, especially if it is your first job. But again, you are given the resources needed to adapt.
I got unlucky and got a bad interviewer. They wouldn't clarify any of my questions, and it was a very open-ended problem. They seemed disinterested the whole time, so it was already downhill from there.
Overall experience was great, but I don't think I learned a lot from this internship. Okay project. Fun team. Seattle was nice. Pretty high salary for an internship. I don't know how to make this 30 words.
I took an online assessment consisting of two questions. Then, I had a 45-minute online interview with behavioral and technical questions. There were follow-ups to the behavioral questions, but they were pretty easy.
