It very depends on the team
Amazon is super large. Working cultures are very dependent on the specified team. But in general, the infrastructure is pretty good.
Across-team communication and support is hard, especially when WFH.
Amazon should provide a standard team management process for each team as a baseline. The power of a manager varies a lot in different teams. Most of the managers are nice, but some of them are unreasonably pushing, and engineers almost can do nothing.
