Great senior engineers and PEs to learn from. Good company to start at, and at a PE/Distinguished level. A great customer-focused company.
Really competitive and highly toxic PIP culture.
Really bad company for mid-level engineers (2-12 years of experience). There is no work-life balance for these engineers; they are just the hard-working laborers of the company without motivation.
So if the share prices go up, as an employee, you will be at a loss as that increase will be counted in your target compensation, resulting in no increase in your salary year over year. You will actually lose money on Amazon shares going up.
Stop fooling people on target compensation without telling the target bandwidth. There are no refreshers year over year. There is no initiation for retaining employees. They have a thinking that if an employee stays at Amazon, it's because they can't move outside.
Data Structures & Algorithms Medium/Hard LeetCode style. Time complexity discussion. Edge cases & testing. System Design (simplified for SDE I) Not large-scale architecture. Examples: design a URL shortener, elevator system, or parking lot. Mo
It was a 3-hour interview: two LeetCode, one system design, and one behavioral. One round was with a Bar Raiser. The process is pretty simple. Basic 150 Blind is good enough to pass the interview.
Once you’re scheduled, you get one day for a three-round loop: * The first is a low-level design and behavioral round. * The second has two DSA questions. * The third is a one-hour behavioral interview. It’s about four hours total in one day.
