Great company for new learning opportunities.
Great leadership principles.
The people who I have worked with are some of the most brilliant and smartest people that I have known. They work with so much passion that you would feel like they actually own the project.
You get to learn many new AWS services.
Really strict on the deadline. If you don't deliver in a timely manner, you will eventually be fired. If you are not a geek/nerd, you will probably have a very bad work-life balance and will always be tired with sleepless nights. No one will groom you. If you are just out of college, you will have a hard time catching up with other employees working at bullet train speed.
They should probably be a little liberal in doing performance checks. In firing its employees, Amazon sometimes also fires good employees who are just having a bad time.
Applied for the job via the Amazon.jobs website. I was sent an Online Assessment (OA) to complete about an hour after applying for the role. I then took the OA a few days later, which seems to have new changes to combat AI usage during these coding
My assessment included two medium-level LeetCode questions and scenario-based questions.
I haven't passed the hiring process, but I spent time talking to them and think they are a good team. They also required me to be on-site. Mostly, they are interested in your experiences.
