Pros

Seniors are incredibly talented, and you'll learn a lot working with them.

Cons

If you’re on a dead-end or low-impact project, your career growth is limited. Worse so if you’re working with managers who aren’t capable of assessing the state of what you’re working on in the first place and have backwards ideas of how a team or project should work.

Advice to Management

Projects going nowhere because the SDM/TPM grossly misjudged scope and assigned it to a single L4, who you go out of your way to keep isolated from others, is a failure of management, not the L4. I’m not even disgruntled; I see the same mistakes being repeated over and over, even after bringing them up.
