Get real-world experiences. Be able to see how a team of software engineers functions. Work on things that impact a lot of internal or external clients.
DISCLAIMER: This is what I heard from other interns.
Experience really does depend on the team you're on. This is what that includes:
- Workload
- How frequent you meet with your manager/mentor (I knew some interns that barely got to meet due to how busy they were)
Make it mandatory for managers/mentors to meet with their interns for a minimum of X amount of times a week.
