There are many reasons why Amazon is a great place. A few of the top reasons for me is the fast-paced environment. Due to the scale of Amazon, there is never a dull moment, and that's why we call every day Day 1. Another reason is the ability to grow as a software engineer, whether it's the senior engineers who impart priceless knowledge or the access to thousands of online training courses that are free to every Amazonian.

The work/life balance can be a struggle, but as an intern, I cannot give the full picture because I only interned for 3 months.

Focusing more on making operations less stressful and time-consuming would give a better picture to hires and would probably lead to lower turn-around rates.
