Do not expect anything extra compared to other tech companies. Nothing is free at Amazon. No free drinks or snacks. No gyms. Nothing.

Different teams, let alone orgs, have very different cultures. It highly depends on your manager how your work/life balance will be handled.

I only joined for the name, but honestly, I should have just joined a startup or some mid-size company in the Bay.

You will honestly have the worst time of your life here, and Amazon knows this. Their stock vesting accounts for people leaving the company early. Do not make the same mistakes I did and avoid this company at all costs.

Please take care of your employees. We are not a bunch of code monkeys for y’all. Treat us as actual human beings.
