The compensation is very generous. There are some cool projects to work on.
Some people abuse the paging/ticket severity system to force on-call engineers to prioritize trivial issues over their own sleep.
Frustrating workflows which sometimes intentionally discourage automation.
Implement a mechanism to discourage people from abusing Sev2 tickets. Their work gets done, but it distracts from more important work and contributes to engineer burnout.
