Pros

Workload for interns is okay. Some interns came in at 10 am and left at 4 pm.

You will have access to play around with the codebase Amazon has. It's a good opportunity to learn how the code was written in a big company like Amazon.

People at Amazon are smart and kind.

Cons

Frugal is one of the principles that the company advocates, and it follows the principle very well. There is no free food; you have to pay even for soft drinks and snacks. Only free stuff is cheap coffee and tea. The allocated desktop is outdated, and you don't want to do anything on it.

Personnel management is loose: I was not assigned any work until week 3. I was surprised that Amazon is rich enough to hire an employee who does nothing for such a long time.

Sometimes it requires collaboration with other teams, but it's very difficult.

Interns get little attention, and it's difficult to get help if you get stuck.

Advice to Management

Pay more attention to interns.
