Amazon does a good job of helping the interns network with each other.
You work with very bright people, which keeps your game strong.
Lots of technical discretion was given. I never felt like "just an intern." This was challenging (admittedly stressful at times!), and very rewarding.

Pay and accommodations make it possible to focus on work with few distractions.
It seemed to vary from team to team, but I was given no technical mentorship whatsoever.
Some people are ridiculously busy, so the place can feel cold and contagiously stressful.
I'd say kill the "OMG I'm so busy" culture. This is my biggest concern while evaluating the company as a potential future employer.
