Pros

Pay is worst among FAANG, but at least better than a startup.

Cons

This company operates solely on bias. There are multiple things that can affect leadership's judgments. The most prominent factors being:

  • Employee ranking
  • Gender
  • Personality plays a big role (alpha males shutting everyone down and being extremely dismissive towards others)

All the meetings aren’t data-driven; it’s more like who yells the loudest and who’s the highest-ranked employee in the room. Senior or principal engineers being insecure about themselves when new hire or junior engineers propose better solutions they didn’t think of at first, leading to unproductive discussions and the same thing being brought up more than just a few times. This phenomenon slows projects down dramatically because now the project isn’t just solving technical puzzles; you have to take care of these alpha babies' egos as well.
