Great time. Amazon is a blast and I would strongly recommend the company (although it depends on your team)

Pros

Good teams are a great time, and an easy team transfer process means you don't have to stay on a bad one. You can even transfer teams as soon as your first week.

The pay is high, the workplace is generally fast-paced, and there's lots of exciting things happening.

Promotions happen quickly.

Cons

Bad teams are a bad time, and Amazon has its fair share of teams that don't let you focus on WLB.

On the business side, headcount requirements for manager promos lead to kingdom building.

Not as many benefits as other FAANG companies.

Advice to Management

More free food, a more organized promotion structure, and more incentives for 'meat grinder' teams to focus on developer retention.
