My team was amazing. My manager and mentor worked with me to determine the goals (and extended goals) for the duration of 12 weeks, but gave me enough flexibility and freedom to make changes to those goals. My mentor also helped me navigate through the internal systems (technical and administrative) of Amazon. His technical guidance was amazing.
Flexible hours: I could pop in at any time between 9 and 11 and leave any time between 3-8. I mean, nobody counted the hours or cared, as long as I was meeting my goals in a timely manner.
Stipend and relocation benefits were amazing.
It's a little difficult to find your feet in the company, as it's huge.
The office laptop was a little crappy. I did most of my work on the RHEL they provided, but the laptop can be better than what they provide (middle-of-the-line HP, i5, 8 gigs RAM, slow).
I have no other complaints.
Keep up the amazing work.
