Stressful job, too much competition to survive. There's always pressure to get things done, delivered faster, and to raise the level. There is always someone in the team who will be on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) based on leadership push.
Take the PIP process out of review forcefully. If someone is not performing, of course, give feedback and try to improve them. However, if you forcefully try to find a person to put on Performance Improvement and try to sack the person, that is not a good practice.
