Pros

Lots of autonomy and the ability to run your teams as you see best.

Cons

Top-down driving of SVP goals leads to misalignment among teams and no clear ownership (when shared), which results in a lot of churn and wasted sense of urgency.

Everyone works on a goal because it's a "STEAM" or "SVP" goal, not because it's necessarily the "right" goal.

Advice to Management

Let the teams that know their customers drive change.
