Working at Amazon AWS was a great and challenging experience. It pushed me beyond my boundaries to work as hard as possible. I learned a lot and loved the leadership I witnessed at AWS, great teammates, and managers.
I asked my manager if I could take a break for half of the day, as I was burnt out. He said, "Feel free to take the entire week off."
My team and managers genuinely appreciate freedom and flexibility. They don't micromanage and are awesome. A very supportive and empathic team.
Amazon AWS could have its tech stack and technologies more set up and put together to provide a smoother experience for onboarding software engineers. It gets tricky and confusing with so many accounts, tools, apps, etc.
It took me a few months to get a handle on how to access certain resources, as there was a big learning curve.
Please help improve and simplify the technologies being used. It gets really confusing after having dozens of them.
I had three different interview rounds. The first round was a typical HR interview with behavioral questions, and the last two were technical. Before these three rounds, there was a coding assessment with three problems that were definitely more dif
The process was fairly typical for a software engineer role. I spoke with the recruiter, completed an online test, and then progressed to the phone screen. The phone screen was rigorous, and I thought I did well enough, but that was the end for me.
A recruiter reached out. I was sent an online assessment that took around 1 hour. It included: * Two DS/Algo questions * 20 minutes of System Design * 15 minutes of Behavioral questions The System Design MCQs were a bit tough.
