Great place to start a career. The size allows for lots of lateral mobility
- A huge network makes it easy to change teams if you have less-than-good bosses or want to gain a new/different skill.
- High salary and the ability to do a mega backdoor Roth IRA.
- You can move somewhere new.
- The quality of the team and organization varies wildly.
- High turnover means holding on to good mentors is difficult.
- Amazon will take what you give it, so if you don’t have good boundaries or your team has a culture of overworking, you will be working many long hours.
- Two weeks of vacation is measly.
