Good manager. OK work-life balance. Some benefits.
Frugality seems to be applied to the compensation. Honestly, for a FAANG company, it is a shame to lowball employees like that. The company is trying to save money everywhere – they don't even provide milk for coffee drinkers, not to mention there is never free lunch or food provided.
Career paths are not clear as well. Managers are trying to get you into meetings discussing promotions, but that never happens.
My advice is that you should only pick Amazon as your last choice.
The company culture is a disaster. There is nothing you can do, sorry.
